Do you shoot (what I'm looking for)? And do you travel?

Probably, and yes. If it's not underwater, and PG-13 rated or lower, I photograph it. Heck, you might be able to convince me of an "R". The photos seen on this site are, by necessity, only a fraction of a fraction of the work I've done. Check out my Facebook Page for the most comprehensive and up-to-date collection of work, although that does not even begin to cover things. Instagram has pics, too, but not nearly as many. I also have a legacy page on Zenfolio. As for travel, so far clients have flown me to Canada, Texas, Tennessee, NYC... have camera, will travel!

how about video?

I'm not letting that NYU Film & Television degree go to waste! I do indeed shoot video, particularly for local non-profits, but photography is 90% of my business. (You can check out a lovely surprise proposal video right here.) For events where you need both photo and video, I partner with some of the best videographers in South Florida to provide outstanding dual coverage for events ranging from small house parties to international corporate gatherings.

what are your rates?

Rates vary depending on the type of event (private, non-profit, government, etc.), time of year, and other factors. Generally speaking, I aim to deliver best-in-class photography at fair market prices. While there are cheaper options, and vastly more expensive ones, too, I believe I offer the best combination of quality and price in South Florida. do you use professional cameras and lighting?

Absolutely. I shoot with full-frame Canon mirrorless cameras, in the RAW format for maximum editing flexibility. For many events, two of my cameras are being used at any one time to capture images both near and far. All of my cameras have dual memory card slots, which is important as it means one is always backing up the other and your photos won't be lost in the event one of the memory cards is compromised. As for lighting, I have a full kit with all sorts of lights (and related accessories) that I mix-and-match as needed. For the main room of large parties, this usually means having three strategically placed lights that I remotely turn on and off throughout the event to achieve the desired effect. The proof of this approach is in the photos!

When will I receive my photos?

I deliver a preview gallery of 50 or so images within a day or two of your event, which is standard in the industry. Unlike most others, though, I do not make you wait several weeks to see the rest. Instead, you have access to your photos as I hand-edit them! Given that every event produces a unique number of photos – three hours of speeches will likely result in fewer photos than three hours of partying – I don't like to guarantee photos will be done within "x" number of weeks, as one-size-does-not-fit-all. Instead, I promise an average of 100-200 edited photos per week until the job is done. Once or twice a week, you get to open a picture present! There are exceptions for time-sentive events, of course, like the work I do for municipalities who need to post about their events ASAP.

do you deliver digital files/prints/albums?

Yes to all. High-resolution JPG images are posted to a password-protected online gallery. You can order prints from a professional lab via that same gallery; these will be of a much higher quality than what you'd get from local drugstores and the like. Beautiful, heirloom-quality albums can be custom curated and created if so desired. Album pricing varies considerably depending on the dimensions, number of pages, paper quality, etc. and is competitive with others in the industry. Check out a video about albums right here!

What else should I know?

All sorts of things! I have an extensive, experience-based tip list – covering everything from venue selection, to lighting, avoiding "wardrobe malfunctions," managing stress, and more – that I'm happy to share with any of my clients who may be interested. Got more questions? Just reach out!
